Our Project

As part of our Secondary 3 Values-in-Action project, we have decided to create a website for people to learn more about butterflies in Singapore. Butterflies are often solely recognised for their beauty, but they hold much more importance than that. We hope that through this project, others can learn more about the impact of butterflies on our environment, as well as their role in preserving our natural heritage.

About The Plain Tiger

The Plain Tiger is a butterfly commonly found in Singapore. It is a medium-sized butterfly, with a wingspan of about 7-8 cm. With its bright tawny colours enclosed in a black border with white spots, this butterfly is easily spotted in many gardens.

Our Butterfly Enclosure

March, 2017

We have constructed a butterfly enclosure on our very own school grounds! With a diverse community sharing a common habitat, we were able to observe how the various populations co-existed.
