Our Butterfly Enclosure
March 2017
Butterflies, the flying jewels of the insect world, have never failed to fascinate people, be they young or old. However, the population of butterflies in Singapore has been declining. Hence, as part of our conservation efforts, we have constructed a butterfly enclosure in order to closely observe the role of butterflies in nature. With the first-hand experience obtained through interacting with the butterflies, and the information gathered from our months-long observation of these beauties, we hope to be able to educate others about the role of butterflies in our ecosystem and their importance, thus influencing them to make a conscious effort in saving these beautiful insects, as well as to inspire others to do the same.
